Trump’s Helicopter Story Refuted
Former San Francisco mayor Willie Brown adamantly disputes ex-President Donald Trump’s claim about experiencing a near-crash helicopter incident together. Brown categorically denies ever being in a helicopter with Trump.
“I’ve never done business with Donald Trump, let’s start with that,” Brown stated in a recent interview. “And secondly, I don’t think I’d want to ride on the same helicopter with him.” – Willie Brown
Brown emphasizes he does not wish for any negative association with Kamala Harris and claims to have never spoken ill of her to Trump. He also criticized Trump for his latest legal troubles and called the helicopter tale creative fiction.

Demands for Trump’s Silence
Addressing the seriousness of Trump’s allegations, Brown has threatened to sue the former president, alongside his lawyer Joe Cotchett who is supporting this legal move. Trump, however, continues to repeat his claims on his social media platform, Truth Social.
“He’s never brought a lawsuit in his life,’ Mr. Cotchett said of Mr. Brown. ‘But you know who’s pushing him to it? A guy by the name of Trump.’”
Brown claims the former president is deliberately misrepresenting facts to discredit Harris, urging that “somebody has got to make sure that he stops lying.” (link)

Willie Brown’s Stance
Despite Trump’s allegations, Brown is clear that an apology is not what he seeks. He just wants Trump to cease mentioning his name.
Brown has never filed a lawsuit of this nature before. However, he remains adamant that legal action will be taken if Trump continues spreading these falsehoods to protect Harris’s presidential campaign.
The Real Helicopter Story
Trump may have confused Willie Brown with another politician. Former California Governor Jerry Brown had a helicopter ride with Trump in 2018 without issues. Additionally, former California state senator Nate Holden identified himself as the individual in another near-crash incident with Trump in 1990.
Regardless, Brown emphasizes that any negative association with Trump would harm his reputation, clarifying he has only met Trump twice, neither occasion involving a helicopter.
