Trump Makes a “Day One” Promise

(RepublicanDaily.org) – Citing continued concerns about the ongoing migrant crisis in the U.S.’ Southern border as well as the overcrowding of migrants in a number of so-called “sanctuary cities” in the country, former president Donald Trump has promised to conduct a huge immigration crackdown and deport illegal aliens in droves on his first day on the job if he is re-elected president.

The promise comes on the heels of increasing apprehension and fear among Americans and other legal residents over the security risks stemming from the tide of migrants the administration of President Joe Biden has allowed into the country. Only recently, a 22-year-old nursing student at University of Georgia, Laken Riley, was killed by an illegal immigrant who entered the country in 2022.

Jose Antonio Ibarra, 26, was charged with Riley’s murder. Police and court records indicate that Ibarra physically attacked Riley while the student was out on a morning job, allegedly brutalizing her to the point of “disfiguring” the victim’s skull. He then dragged her body in an attempt to conceal it. Ibarra faces a bevy of charges against him that include malice murder and felony murder, as well as aggravated assault, aggravated battery, kidnapping, false imprisonment, concealing the death of another, and hindering a 911 call. Ibarra was also found out to have been previously arrested in New York City, but was released on parole.

“We will immediately Seal the Border!” Trump said of his immediate priority if he gets a second stint in the White House. He also said that he would “stop the invasion” and begin the largest deportation operation of illegal CRIMINALS [sic] in American History.”

Trump’s recent statement is in line with his previous promises to be more iron-fisted if he holds office again, as opposed to Biden’s “weak” leadership, which he also blames for the migrant crisis.
