Star Actor Charged With Attempted Murder

(RepublicanDaily.org) – An actor from the hit Netflix sci-fi film “Rebel Moon” was arrested over charges that he attempted to stab his former girlfriend to death.

Prosecutors have accused 34-year-old actor Nick Pasqual of breaking into his former flame’s home in Los Angeles during the wee hours of May 23, and then stabbing her repeatedly.

According to police, the victim, Allie Shehorn, sustained more than 20 stab wounds in her neck, abdomen, and arms. She is in the hospital, is still in critical condition, but is slowly recovering, according to friends and loved ones who have provided updates on her condition. Shehorn, 35, is a Hollywood make-up and prosthetics artist whose credits include working on the 2024 iteration of “Mean Girls” and the 2022 black comedy film “Babylon.”

Shehorn had filed a restraining order against the actor several days before the attack. She accused Pasqual of physical abuse and rape, saying that he hit her with a belt in an incident early in the year, and then in another incident in April, choked and forced himself on her.

Christine White, who lives with Shehorn and was in the house when the attack took place, says that she was the one who found the victim.

“That wasn’t a pretty sight,” White said of Shehorn’s condition after the stabbing.

Pasqual reportedly fled the scene quickly, leaving before the police arrived. However, law enforcement managed to arrest him as he was attempting to cross the border into Mexico, at one of the border checkpoints in Sierra Blanca, Texas. Authorities had beforehand issued an arrest warrant for the actor for attempted murder. He is also facing charges of injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend or child’s parent; as well as first-degree residential burglary with person present.

In a statement, George Gascón, the Los Angeles County District Attorney, promised that his office would ensure that the person responsible for the attack on Shehorn would be “held accountable for their actions.”

Pasqual’s arraignment date has yet to be set, and if found guilty, he could face life in prison.
