Records Show That Trump Donated to Kamala’s Campaign Twice

(RepublicanDaily.org) – Campaign donation records for Vice President Kamala Harris during her run for California Attorney General show contributions from an unlikely source – former president Donald Trump and his family.

Trump, who is currently the official presidential nominee for the Republican Party, is shown to have sent money twice to Harris’ campaign. He donated $5,000 in 2011 and another $1,000 in 2013, records show. His daughter, Ivanka, also donated to Harris’ California AG run, sending $2,000 in 2014, and even attended a fund raising event for Harris, where the former was accompanied by several executives from the Trump organization.

The donations were made while Trump was still a private citizen; Trump began what would ultimately be his successful run for U.S. president in 2015. Harris was California’s Attorney General from 2011 to 2017, after which she was elected to the U.S. senate. Seemingly coincidentally as well, the donations were made at a time that Trump University was slapped with a class action lawsuit that alleged that the former chief executive’s school was cheating enrollees and students out of their money. The case was later settled, with the school paying out a $25 million settlement.

The relationship between the two comes full circle, however, because Harris will be facing off against her former donor if she is selected as the official presidential nominee for the Democratic Party at the Democratic National Convention on August 19 in Chicago.

Democrats have had a field day with the revelations, with Democratic Florida Representative Jared Moskowitz posting an image of the check Trump sent to Harris on Twitter / X, calling it a “wise investment” on the former president’s part.

Prior to his Republican presidential run, Trump has made numerous donations to the Democratic party over the span of several years – a history that he has acknowledged, saying that Democrats “kiss my ***” whenever he used to call them.
