Piers Morgan Says Trump Should Risk Arrest for Son’s Graduation

(RepublicanDaily.org) – Outspoken news and talk show host Piers Morgan blasted the decision of Justice Juan Merchan, who is overseeing former president Donald Trump’s “hush money” trial, to deny forgoing a trial date in order to let the former president attend the high school graduation ceremony of his son, Barron, who is 18.

In an op-ed for the New York Post, Morgan – who also host’s the “Fox Nation” news segment – wrote that it was “disgusting” on Judge Merchan’s part to deny Trump the opportunity to attend Barron’s commencement exercises. Morgan scored Merchan on what he called the judge’s lack of “basic sense of humanity toward a father and son.” The English talk show host recalled his own recent attendance of his youngest son’s graduation ceremony from a university in the U.K., saying that Barron deserves to have and share a “joyous celebration of his years of hard work” with his father.

Morgan also called Trump a “proud, loving dad” to all his children, which Morgan said is reciprocated by all the Trump scions – Donald Jr., Eric, Ivanka, Tiffany, and Barron.

“You can’t fake that kind of relationship with your kids,” Morgan wrote. Morgan also encouraged Trump to make good on Merchan’s threat to have him arrested if he skipped any of his hearing dates, even if was to attend his son’s graduation. The Fox Nation host said that Trump would have the support of “every parent” in America – regardless if they liked him or not – if he went to Barron’s commencement.

They’d go, “’Yeah, I’d have done that, too,'” Morgan said.

Morgan also had a lot of choice words regarding Trump’s hush money trial, calling the effort a “cheap,” “demeaning,” and “utterly pointless” exercise whose sole aim is to “shame and humiliate” the former chief executive.

“This whole saga is so pathetic,” Morgan added, saying that no one really cares if Trump had a relationship with Daniels, which he pointed out was entirely consensual between the two parties.
