(RepublicanDaily.org) – Cole Brings Plenty, a 27-year-old Native American actor, was found dead in a wooded area in Johnson County, Kansas.
The actor was reported missing following a report of a domestic violence dispute. Police responded to the call where a woman reportedly screaming for help, but the suspect had already fled the scene by the time officers arrived. A search for the suspect led police to Brings Plenty, who was caught on nearby video footage leaving aboard a white 2005 Ford Explorer with Kansas plates, heading towards Highway 59.
He also missed an audition for an upcoming feature film following the alleged domestic violence incident, according to his agent, Peter Yanke.
The police also submitted a request to the local district attorney’s office to issue a warrant out for Brings Plenty’s arrest in relation to the incident. Law enforcement declined to provide further details on the domestic violence incident in order to protect the victim.
Police were alerted to the possibility that Brings Plenty had been found after receiving reports of an abandoned vehicle in the area close to 200th and Homestead Lane. Officers were dispatched to the scene, where they found the actor’s body a few feet away from the vehicle.
Cole’s father, Joe Brings Plenty Sr., confirmed the news of his son’s death to news outlets.
“I am deeply saddened to confirm that my son, Cole, has been found and is no longer with us,” he said, thanking those who sent him and his family well-wishes, prayers, and positive thoughts.
Cole Brings Plenty was most known for his role in “1923,” the Paramount+ western-themed TV series that served as the prequel to American country series “Yellowstone.” Prior to him being found, one of his co-actors on the show, his uncle Moses Brings Plenty, had launched a campaign to find Cole, and even put out a call on social media.
