Trump Accuses Hush Money Prosecutor of Being a “Biden Thug”

(RepublicanDaily.org) – True to form, former president Donald Trump has once again unloaded diatribes against personalities related to his multiple lawsuits, this time setting his sights on a number of people involved in the “hush money” case against him.

The 77-year-old presumptive Republican presidential nominee is facing 34 felony charges for allegedly concealing $130,000 payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels in exchange for the latter keeping silent about a supposed relationship the two were engaged in. The payments were made during Trump’s 2016 campaign, where he eventually won the presidency and served his first term in the White House.

At a press conference following a hearing on the hush money case, Trump called Assistant District Attorney Matthew Colangelo a “radical left prosecutor” and a part of “Biden and his thugs.”

Colangelo works under Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, whose office is in charge of prosecuting the hush money case against the former president. Colangelo was also previously a part of the Justice Department of the current Biden administration and also worked for the office of New York District Attorney Letitia James. NYAG James in turn is responsible for the civil fraud lawsuit against Trump, which saw the former commander-in-chief ordered to pay millions of dollars in fines and banned him and his adult sons of engaging in business in the state of New York for several years.

Trump’s hush money trial is scheduled to begin on April 15. New York Judge Juan Merchan has also imposed a gag order against the former chief executive in relation to the case. The order prohibits Trump from making “threatening, inflammatory, denigrating” statements against people involved in the case, including witnesses, potential and actual jurors, attorneys, court staff or their family members.

However, just a day after the order was imposed, Trump attacked Judge Merchan’s daughter, claiming in a Truth Social post that she “represents Crooked Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff, and other Radical Liberals.” The former president also called on Merchan to recuse himself from the case.
