(RepublicanDaily.org) – One of the enduring legacies of Donald Trump’s presidency will be the work his administration did to further peace in the Middle East. Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was instrumental in the negotiation of bilateral peace deals between Israel and its neighbors Bahrain, Morocco, and UAE.
However, there are real fears the new administration will undo all of Trump’s good work. At the time of writing, there’s been no reported contact between Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, despite the fact the US president has had time to contact numerous other world leaders.
On Friday, February 12, Press Secretary Jen Psaki fielded a question about the administration’s attitude toward the Middle East during a briefing. She, using the style of vague rhetoric that’s quickly becoming her default strategy for dealing with tough questions, avoided giving a direct or meaningful answer.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a @PressSec that’s actually *answers* questions.. instead of the goobly glop we have here
Of course we know her position on Israel.. she’s NOT a friend pic.twitter.com/VOb2L6ZOwW

Donald Trump’s administration always prioritized friendly relations with Israel and a proactive approach to maintaining peace in the region. It’s not clear if Joe Biden is committed to doing the same.
