(RepublicanDaily.org) – Last week, President Joe Biden made his first address to a joint session of Congress. His speech, which touched on a range of policy issues, had a largely positive tone, claiming America was “rising anew” and praising the “extraordinary leadership” of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).
Of course, not everyone shares Biden’s jolly outlook. For those dealing with the crisis on our southern border, the president’s words must seem very far removed from reality.
On Thursday, April 29, four sheriffs from Arizona, Illinois, and North Carolina appeared on Fox News to discuss this issue, imploring President Biden to take it more seriously. Mark Lamb, Sheriff of Pinal County, AZ, stressed this was an “America problem,” not just an issue for border states, which the presence of officials from Illinois and North Carolina illustrated.

Sheriff Mark Dannels, of Cochise County, Arizona, called human trafficking “the largest humanitarian issue on the southwest border going on right now.” He and the other sheriffs claimed smugglers were throwing children into rivers near Texas border crossings in order to distract federal agents.
When is the Biden administration going to address this problem and solve the border crisis?
