Trump to Refocus On Social Media During Last Days of Presidency

( – Anti-conservative bias among Big Tech companies is nothing new. However, until recently, their platforms did not openly prevent political figures from publishing content.

That all changed on Thursday, January 7, as Facebook banned President Donald Trump’s account at least until after the inauguration. Twitter permanently banned him the following day. The president has not been the only target of this conservative media purge; Amazon, Google, and Apple have all removed the Parler app from their respective platforms. The app is an alternative to Twitter that has far fewer content restrictions than other sites.

According to reports, Trump is not prepared to simply accept this development. The commander-in-chief views these moves as an attempt to suppress free speech and impose liberal agendas on the American people. The president’s son, Don Jr, called the decision to ban the commander-in-chief insane.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has also expressed concern about these developments, referring to the “unchecked power” held by Facebook and Twitter with regard to political speech.
