(RepublicanDaily.org) – Donald Trump has never backed away from a disagreement with the heads of federal agencies during his time as president. On Sunday, October 27, Axios released a report detailing the president’s alleged plans to fire three key figures working in federal government roles. FBI Director Christopher Wray, CIA Director Gina Haspel, and Defense Secretary Mark Esper are reportedly set for dismissal if the commander-in-chief wins re-election.
Wray has been head of the FBI since Trump fired James Comey in 2017. He’s attracted the president’s ire for a number of reasons, most notably his recent failure to investigate Hunter Biden’s business dealings. Gina Haspel has gotten in trouble for her reluctance to declassify key documents sought by US Attorney John Durham’s Russiagate probe. Mark Esper fell out of favor with the White House when he expressed discomfort with the idea of deploying the military during the summer’s protests.
Confirmed. Haspel and Esper too. https://t.co/elYloUZEVp

Were it not for the closeness of the election, it’s likely that at least one of these agency heads would already be unemployed. Timing may have intervened in their favor; however, if Donald Trump wins November’s election, their days could be numbered.
