Trump Tells Ramaswamy to Be Less Controversial

(RepublicanDaily.org) – Among all the GOP candidates vying to become the party’s presidential nominee next year, billionaire businessman Vivek Ramaswamy is by far the biggest fan of former president Donald Trump, who is also running for president and commands a sizable lead over Ramaswamy and the rest of the GOP presidential hopefuls.

However, as he steadily rises in popularity – especially after the first Republican primary debate hosted by Fox News – Ramaswamy has gotten Trump’s attention.

Known himself for his controversial views and bombastic soundbites, Trump had this advice to his rival: “I’d tell him be a little bit careful” as the former president felt that Ramaswamy was becoming “a little bit controversial.” “Some things you have to hold in just a little bit, right?” Trump said.

But especially after being called by Ramaswamy as “the best president of the 21st century” during the debate, Trump was all praises for his rival, saying that Ramaswamy had “good energy,” was “very good,” and a “very, very, very intelligent person” who possessed “a lot of talent.” I think he’s really distinguished himself,” the former commander-in-chief said.

Plus, Trump said, “Anybody that said I’m the best president in a generation… I have to like a guy like that.”

The former chief executive might even like Ramaswamy so much that he could be considered as a running mate next year, should Trump win the Republican primary.

“”He could be some form of something, I’d tell you,” the former president said.

Who Trump’s vice president would be is still up in the air, especially since the former vice president, Mike Pence, is running against Trump and has become one of the harshest Trump critics within the Republican party – something that does not sit well with his former boss, who has taken to calling the former vice president “Little Mike Pence.”

There has been speculation that Trump stalwart, Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, could also be a possible vice presidential candidate, and though she has said that she is still undecided about what to do next – she could also consider a Senate run – she said it would be an “honor” to be chosen as Trump’s running mate.
