Trump Smiles After GOP Candidate Loses, Celebrates!
(RepublicanDaily.org) – Former President Donald Trump has had a difficult time politically since the midterm elections. A number of his high-profile Republican endorsements for elected positions, perhaps most notably Dr. Mehmet Oz in the Pennsylvania Senate race, came up short. Now, some people are criticizing the former president for celebrating the defeat of a fellow Republican, US Senate hopeful out of Colorado, Joe O’Dea.
As it emerged O’Dea’s bid to reach the Senate was unsuccessful, Trump posted on his Truth Social app account to celebrate his loss. He exclaimed that O’Dea had “lost BIG!” adding, “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”

O’Dea found himself in the 45th president’s crosshairs after publicly disagreeing with his narrative about election fraud in 2020. More recently, he stated he would campaign against Trump if the former president decided to run in the 2024 presidential election.
O’Dea lost to Democratic incumbent Senator Michael Bennet, despite having Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) throwing his weight behind him. Polls showed the Republican had gained ground in the weeks leading up to the election, but was still the underdog on November 8.
A number of critics have panned Trump for opposing Republicans, given the fact the balance of power in Congress is on the line.
