(RepublicanDaily.org) – There have recently been renewed discussions about the FBI investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. Since the publication of the probe’s findings, it’s become clear that investigators broke numerous rules. Now, it appears some members of the agency might face the consequences.
On Friday, November 27, Carter Page, who used to work as an adviser to the Trump campaign, filed a lawsuit in federal court in Washington. The suit names the FBI, the Department of Justice, and various individual agents as defendants.
Page says he was the victim of illegal surveillance during the probe. His lawsuit states FBI officials used misleading information to persuade a court to issue a FISA warrant against him. Since the investigation, Page has had to endure threats of death and kidnapping, as well as financial losses and damage to his reputation. His lawsuit is seeking $75 million in damages.

The extent of the corruption behind this FBI investigation is still unknown. However, it seems as though those involved were willing to do whatever was necessary to get the outcome they wanted.
