Ted Cruz’s New Book About 2020 Election Hits Shelves Soon

(RepublicanDaily.org) – A new book by a senior Republican promises to lift the lid on how Democrats have used the legal system as a political tool. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) was in the Capitol when rioters broke into the building on January 6, 2021, and even had to hide from the mob. Now, he’s telling his side of the story.

On October 25, Cruz’s new book, “Justice Corrupted: How the Left Weaponized Our Legal System,” went on sale. It gives Cruz’s account of the 2020 election, the congressional debate about certifying the result, and the riot that interrupted it. He also covers the evolution of the US justice system, and how the Left has increasingly used it to fight battles they can’t win at the ballot box.

Cruz, who was part of the GOP group that opposed certifying the election results, describes how he was listening to the debate in the Senate when Capitol cops burst in to evacuate Vice President Mike Pence. Cruz and other senators sheltered in a large supply closet as protesters rampaged through the building — but there was almost as much aggression in the improvised sanctuary, as some of his Senate colleagues accused Cruz of having helped provoke the violence. Despite those allegations, Cruz says he never backed down on his reluctance to certify the disputed election.

Since the riot, Cruz has faced public opposition for his actions. This week, he was jeered by New York Yankees fans. However, he’s determined to reveal the Left’s abuse of the legal system, and this book is a key part of that project.
