Sheldon Adelson Goes On Leave for Cancer Treatment

GOP Megadonor Adelson Takes Leave For Cancer Treatment

( – Despite the growing Liberal bias among elites, there are still plenty of rich and famous individuals committed to preserving conservative values in America. Casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, who has contributed huge sums to the Republican Party over the years, is one good example.

Unfortunately, we received some bad news about Adelson’s health on Thursday, January 7. According to a statement from Las Vegas Sands Corp., the group of which he is CEO and chairman, Adelson is taking a leave of absence from work to receive treatment for cancer. The 87-year-old was initially diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in March 2019. The statement did not mention how long he will be away from his roles.

As well as offering financial backing to the GOP, Adelson has also been a supporter of Donald Trump throughout his time in office. The Adelson family contributed $75 million to a pro-Trump super PAC in September 2020.

Sheldon Adelson’s long-standing second-in-command, Robert Goldstein, will assume his duties on a temporary basis pending Adelson’s return.
