(RepublicanDaily.org) – Most Democrats have started celebrating this year’s elections as a victory, despite the fact the most important result has yet to be confirmed. However, not everyone on the Left is happy.
On Saturday, November 9, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) spoke out against her colleagues in the Democrat party. During an interview with the New York Times, AOC blamed her party’s electoral failures on poor strategic management by the DNC. She said her party lacked “core competencies” when it came to addressing Republican talking points.
She also warned Joe Biden not to hesitate when it came to putting Progressives forward for election.
.@AOC interview as progressives blamed for close US election.”We’re not the enemy; our base isnt the enemy;#BLM isnt the enemy; Medicare for all isnt the enemy. If they keep going after the wrong thing theyre just setting up their own obsolescence” https://t.co/8bih6vHxxy

Before the presidential vote, Democrats refrained from criticizing each other publicly so as to maximize Joe Biden’s chance of defeating Trump. This interview signals the end of this truce, which means we can expect to see more of this kind of rhetoric going forward.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may be right when she says the DNC has fallen short in certain aspects of its electoral strategy. However, if she thinks doubling down on her radical policy ideas is the way to improve the party’s performance, she’s sorely mistaken.
