MTG Brings Articles of Impeachment Against FBI Director

( – Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R.Georgia) has motioned to introduce the process for impeachment articles against FBI Director Christopher Wray, The Daily Wire reported.

Greene said in a public statement, that, in her view, the FBI had become a “personal police force” for President Joe Biden “under Wray’s watch,” The Daily Wire reported.

At the time of this report, it was not clear if Greene’s motion to remove Wray from office could gather enough support from Republicans in the House, who have a narrow margin majority in the House, The Daily Wire reported.

Likewise, Greene has previously introduced the impeachment process articles against Attorney General Merrick Garland in response to the FBI’s decision to raid the private residences of former President Donald Trump, Fox News reported on May 16.

Greene’s efforts during the week of May 16 to impeach FBI senior leadership followed the recent publication of the Durham Report. In his report, Special Counsel John Durham exposed how the FBI was willing to pay a Russian national who introduced so-called conspiracy theories about then-president Donald Trump. A 306-page report, released on May 12, details the special counsel’s findings in his independent inquiry into the investigation of Trump’s affiliations with Russia. The special counsel’s report concluded that the investigation was “seriously flawed,” and had “bungled” important applications and processes, the Associated Press reported.

The results of the Durham Report drew criticism from left-leaning legacy media. Analysts found that after years of “political hype,” the report had failed to “deliver” any valuable revelations, The New York Times wrote. Other critics claimed that the GOP was “living in its own universe” with their reactions to the Durham report’s findings, MSNBC wrote.

Donald Trump likewise responded to the Durham Report and noted that its findings were a “total disgrace” for the FBI. Trump stated that, in his view, there must be a “heavy price to pay,” for the FBI’s efforts to find collusion between Trump and Russia when they reportedly had no evidence to begin the investigation, Fox News reported.
