Mike Pence Launches 2024 Campaign

(RepublicanDaily.org) – Former Vice President Mike Pence has officially launched his 2024 Presidential campaign. Pence released a campaign video in which he pledges that the “best days” of the “greatest nation” in the world are yet to come.

Political analysts have questioned why the former vice president would make a “long shot” bid against leading GOP candidate and former president Donald Trump. Analysts claimed that Pence’s path to victory would require “supernatural” circumstances.

Political analysts also noted how Pence was competing against Trump in a bitter rivalry after Trump, at one time in modern history, made him his vice president but then proceeded to “incite a mob” against him. Trump, and his supporters, believe that Pence was at fault on January 6, 2021, when he, as the then-President of Congress, acted to certify the 2020 presidential election results in favor of President Joe Biden.

The Trump campaign believed that the election was a result of fraud and that Pence should not act to certify them. In the months since January 6, protesters have called for Pence’s execution, stating that they believed he had committed treason. Trump was reportedly photographed embracing one of the protesters who called for Pence to be executed.

Pence’s bid for the presidency reportedly drags behind former President Trump and Trump’s leading rival, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Pence also leads his rivals with negative opinions, which is reportedly the result of his actions in January 2021.

Pence explained in an opening speech that on January 6, 2021, he was faced with the choice between President Trump and the Constitution, and he chose the U.S. Constitution. Pence likewise criticized Trump and stated that, in 2016, when they began to work together, Trump had pledged to govern as a “conservative” but that in recent developments the former president did not make the same “promise.”

Pence addressed a crowd in Iowa at the opening of his campaign and stated that Trump was “incorrect” in believing that he had the power not to certify the 2020 election results. Likewise, Pence explained that Trump encouraged the mob that broke into Congress on January 6, 2021.
