(RepublicanDaily.org) – Anti-Trump hysteria has reached new levels since November’s election. Commentators and politicians on the Left have begun suggesting increasingly radical strategies to eject Donald Trump from office, despite legitimate legal challenges to the vote.
On Saturday, November 21, reports emerged that Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is considering criminal charges for officials who refuse to certify the election results.

AG Nessel is reported to have consulted with experts on the law surrounding elections about this possibility. They’re considering whether election officials could have breached laws on perjury, bribery, or conspiracy.
We’ve come to expect this kind of rhetoric from Twitter users. However, when a state attorney general suggests criminalizing officials for pursuing free and fair democracy, that’s an altogether different matter. To be clear, it is not a crime to refuse to certify the votes. If the officials decide they need more time, the courts will likely make the decision about what happens next.
