Marjorie Taylor Greene Has “Total War” Plans in Place

Marjorie Taylor Greene Has

( – The 118th US Congress sat for the first time on January 3, and it promises to be an interesting two years. With Republicans now in control of the House, it’s going to be a lot harder for President Joe Biden to push ahead with his left-wing agenda. One GOP lawmaker, in particular, is promising “total war” against the administration.

On January 2, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) shared some of her plans for the upcoming session on Twitter. Beginning by saying she believes in a GOP that “truly serves the American people and our many great needs,” Greene went on to list things she plans to do over the next two years.

Here are some highlights:

  • Greene praised the new rules that will apply to legislators in this congress. High points include a statement that “nothing prevents Members from using gender-specific language.” She also said the last Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), had “destroyed gender” in the 117th Congress.
  • Republicans want to change many of the House’s arcane rules, including abolishing proxy voting.
  • She noted fines for violating mask mandates have been abolished. This is good news for Greene at a personal level, too; she’s been fined 20 times for not wearing a mask, costing her a total of $48,000.
  • She confirmed the GOP plans to set up a special committee to investigate the Biden Administration and its assault on the constitutional rights of American citizens. The new panel, which will focus on the Department of Justice, FBI and intelligence agencies, will be called the “Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.”

The new Congress isn’t off to a great start for the GOP, beginning with a bitter race to appoint a new House speaker. However, Greene and her colleagues have a lot of ideas — and they’re determined to make life hard for President Biden.
