Marianne Williamson Emerges as Biden Presidential Campaign Contender, Receives “Mockery” from Biden Administration

( – Marianne Williamson has announced a bid for the Presidential Elections Campaign of 2024 as a potential contender running against incumbent President Joe Biden, Fox News reported. Since her announcement earlier in March, the Biden administration reportedly stated that it saw “no threat” from a Williamson campaign, and “mocked” her announcement.

Media analysts called the Williamson campaign a longshot. Williamson, who is a self-help author, gave “quirky calls for spiritual healing”, NBC reported. Williamson is a 70-year-old spiritual adviser, who once served as spiritual adviser to media personality Oprah Winfrey.

Marianne Williamson has announced an “evolutionary” agenda for her 2024 campaign arguing that America needs “transformation.” Following the announcement of her bid, Williamson held a conference in Washington., D.C.

The conference commenced on March 4. In her speech, Williamson announced an agenda to launch a “new beginning” for America. Williamson’s campaign banners include the messages “Disrupt the System” and “A New Beginning.”

Williamson also unsuccessfully bid for presidential candidate nomination in 2020 and has become the first major Democratic political figure to challenge the Biden administration’s reelection bid.

In recent reports, some Democrats have voiced concerns that the elderly president may not be able to run for reelection in 2024. Joe Biden was born in 1942 and is 80 years old. The 2024 Presidential election will be Biden’s third campaign for president, as he also ran for office in 1988 and 2020. Biden also ran for the vice presidency alongside Barack Obama and served as Obama’s vice president from January 2009 to January 2017.

Democrats and Republicans of New Hampshire have warned that, should the president skip the state’s “unsanctioned primary” and one of his Democratic rivals is to win the nomination, it may “prove embarrassing” for the Biden administration, NBC reported. The situation would prove embarrassing even if the candidate “had no real chance” of winning the nomination, the New Hampshire Democrats and Republicans analyzed.
