Marco Rubio is Asking For Prayers – Wants to Take Biden Down!
(RepublicanDaily.org) – Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) is among the highest-profile Republicans in Congress. He has been in the Senate since 2010 and currently serves on the chamber’s Select Committee on Intelligence and its Foreign Relations Committee. Recently, the Florida Republican publicly welcomed President Joe Biden’s opposition ahead of the midterm elections this November.
On Monday, July 25, President Biden posted a tweet calling out Rubio and other prominent Florida Republicans over their stance on assault-weapon bans.
Leaders like Governor DeSantis, Senator Marco Rubio, and Senator Rick Scott are all opposed to banning assault weapons.
And to me, it's simple.
If you can’t support banning weapons of war on America’s streets, you’re not on the side of police.

Far from being concerned about this development, Rubio seemed enthusiastic about the prospect of Biden coming to Florida to campaign against him. He took to Twitter to issue the following retort to the anti-Second Amendment president.
I am asking for your prayers that @potus will come to Florida to campaign against me https://t.co/8FFKnZUEM8

While the GOP lawmaker didn’t elaborate on why this would be such a win for him, it’s likely he was referring to Joe Biden’s dismal performance on many fronts. The president has attracted criticism for his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, the military withdrawal from Afghanistan, the economy, and issues around illegal immigration. Governor Ron DeSantis (R) is another prominent Florida Republican who has gained a lot of support for his criticism of the Biden administration.
Polling data shows Rubio is all but certain to win a third term in the Senate later this year.
