(RepublicanDaily.org) – The Lincoln Project, the avowedly anti-Donald Trump group, is currently going through a major crisis. Co-founder John Weaver has been accused of misconduct by at least 21 men. It’s alleged that he sent inappropriate texts to boys as young as age 14.
That does not appear to concern mainstream media outlets, however. On Wednesday, February 24, the Washington Free Beacon reported that CNN and MSNBC have collectively given The Lincoln Project over $32 million worth of free media.

“Free media” refers to appearances on broadcasting platforms that have a measurable value, but are not paid for. According to the Free Beacon’s exposé, the two networks hosted Lincoln Project representatives 40 times between January 11 and February 11. January 11 is the date on which Weaver’s alleged wrongdoing became public knowledge.
That’s a possible indication that the promotion of anti-Trump messaging matters more to some organizations than anything else. Ordinary Americans need to ask themselves whether this is a media landscape they feel comfortable supporting.
