Josh Duggar Sentenced to Prison for Vile Pictures of Children

Hollywood STAR Sentenced To 12 Years In Prison

( – Josh Duggar was once famous in the United States for his appearances on “19 Kids and Counting,” a wholesome reality show about Christian parents homeschooling their enormous family. Duggar is now in the headlines for a much darker reason. On Wednesday, May 25, Duggar received a 151-month prison sentence, according to USA Today.

Duggar’s sentence follows his conviction for one count of receiving child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography last year. On Wednesday, US District Judge Timothy L. Brooks opted to dismiss the possession charge. Along with the 12.5-year prison term he’s facing, Duggar must also pay a $10,000 fine and participate in a treatment program for sex offenders. The investigation into the reality star began after authorities noticed child abuse imagery had been downloaded onto a computer at a car dealership he owned.

The government had sought a longer custodial sentence in Duggar’s case. However, following the announcement of his sentence, US Attorney David Clay Fowlkes said he was satisfied with the result. Duggar’s defense lawyer Justin K. Gelfand said he was happy the judge had decided to dismiss a second count against his client and committed to challenging Wednesday’s result on appeal.

Do you think this was a fair outcome?
