(RepublicanDaily.org) – John McCain, who died from brain cancer in 2018, was a Republican Senator for Arizona and presidential nominee. On Tuesday, October 13, we received the news that his mother Roberta had passed away at the age of 108.
Born in Oklahoma, Roberta McCain married John McCain Jr. (Senator John McCain’s father) in 1933. They had three children together. Her son John fought in Vietnam before returning to America to pursue a career in politics. He served as a congressman and senator before securing the Republican presidential nomination in 2008. Roberta McCain was frequently on the campaign trail during that election season, despite being well in her nineties at the time.
Political figures of every background have paid tribute to Mrs. McCain. Many have remarked at the sharp wit and indomitable spirit that stayed with her into old age.
To the McCain family: You are in my prayers.
Let us celebrate a well-lived life, that of Roberta McCain.
She was one of the most confident, interesting, funny, and squared-away people I have ever known. https://t.co/Q6LGHmfrQu

Death is never a happy occurrence. However, having lived to 108 and raised one of the great American statesmen of the 20th and 21st centuries, it seems safe to say Roberta McCain lived a full life.
