GOP Rep-Elect Shares Personal Abortion Story

( – Abortion is one of the most sensitive issues up for debate in America today. As the country becomes increasingly Liberal, people have become more amenable to the idea of a woman’s “right to choose.” Also, since the Roe vs. Wade decision in 1973, federal law has not stood in the way of women seeking terminations.

However, a lot of Conservative policymakers remain staunchly pro-life. One such figure is Rep.-elect Kat Cammack (R-FL), who appeared on Fox News on Thursday, December 3, to discuss her views on the matter.

She revealed she, herself, was only alive because of her mother’s refusal to seek an abortion. Having suffered a difficult pregnancy with Cammack’s elder sister, she was advised to terminate by both doctors and her family when she became pregnant with Kat. She refused. This, Cammack says, is why she is pro-life.

At 32 years of age, Kat Cammack is the youngest female Republican to win a seat in this year’s elections. She’s a perfect example of the kind of dynamic young Conservative that will be instrumental in preserving traditional values in America in the future.
