(RepublicanDaily.org) – Last August, the FBI raided former President Donald Trump’s Florida home and seized classified documents. Special counsel Jack Smith is now leading a huge, ongoing investigation into the effort. However, there doesn’t seem to be as much interest when it’s President Joe Biden who’s caught incorrectly handling classified material.

On November 2 last year; just days before the midterm elections, the president’s attorneys discovered a cache of around 10 sensitive documents at the Penn Biden Center, a Washington, DC, think tank affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania. The documents dated from the Obama Administration and were found in the office Biden used when he was vice president. Reports say several of the documents were marked “Top Secret” and included information about the UK, Ukraine, and Iran. However, the discovery wasn’t reported until January 9 — more than two months later.
Now, a second batch of documents linked to Biden has been found, at a different location, and the president’s lawyers are searching for others. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has refused to provide more details, simply insisting Biden takes the protection of classified documents “seriously.” However, not everyone is satisfied with her answer.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) has appointed an investigator to find out why the documents weren’t properly secured, but after the second batch was found, Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC) called for a special counsel to take over, as happened in Trump’s case. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) backed up the call. “Fox & Friends” is also demanding the DOJ takes this case as seriously as they did the Trump documents. Host Steve Doocy wanted to know why it took two months for the news to emerge, saying it would have been explosive before the midterms. Brian Kilmeade said if the cases were being treated equally, the FBI would have raided the University of Pennsylvania facility.
It’s now going to be very hard for the administration to bring charges against Trump without looking like hypocrites.
