Gavin Newsom Blames Fox News Host for Enabling Pelosi Attack
(RepublicanDaily.org) – California’s ultra-liberal governor has stepped into the discussion about last Friday’s assault on Paul Pelosi, the House speaker’s husband. According to Gavin Newsom (D), Fox News host Jesse Watters is guilty of “aiding and abetting” the attack. However, Watters hit back hard, blaming Newsom instead.

Talking to CBS News on October 31, Newsom claimed the hammer attack on Paul Pelosi was because Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has been “dehumanized” — and he singled out the Fox host for criticism. According to Newsom, Watters has been mocking Pelosi for months; he said, “Don’t tell me that’s not aiding and abetting all of this. Of course it is.” The governor added that Conservatives are “creating a culture” where political opponents are dehumanized. In fact, leftists have pioneered this tactic, from cancel culture to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 description of former President Donald Trump supporters as “a basket of deplorables.”
On November 1, Watters pushed back, pointing out that the alleged assailant, 42-year-old Canadian David DePape, is an illegal immigrant in California and already has an extensive criminal record. Watters said, “I mean, obviously, he should have been deported, and if he was, Paul Pelosi wouldn’t be in the hospital.”
And who’s to blame for California’s open-border immigration policies? Well, that would be Governor Gavin Newsom.
