Former Disney Channel Actor Sentenced to Federal Prison

Disney Actor Lands in FEDERAL Prison – Monstrous Crime!

( – Acting alumni of the Disney Channel have a habit of getting themselves into trouble. A considerable number of the platform’s former child stars have encountered legal troubles for offenses including drug possession, drunk driving, violent assaults, and sexual offenses. Now, another former Disney Channel star has picked up a criminal conviction.

Stoney Westmoreland, who is known for his role on the sitcom “Andi Mack” on the Disney Channel, has been sentenced to two years in federal prison after pleading guilty to a charge of using interstate facilities to transmit information about a minor. Westmoreland was initially facing a more serious charge of attempting to lure a minor into sex, which could have put him in jail for 10 years, but managed to plead down to the more lenient charge. He was also sentenced to 10 years of supervised release.

According to investigation records, the 48-year-old actor used the media app, Grindr to start a conversation with an account he thought belonged to a 13-year-old. He also used a ridesharing service to travel to meet the would-be victim and bring him back to his hotel room. Law enforcement agents arrested Westmoreland when he arrived on the scene, and Disney fired him later that day.

Do you think this was a fair outcome?
