E. Jean Carroll Claims Trump Assaulted Her “Whether She Screamed or Not”

(RepublicanDaily.org) – Columnist E. Jean Carroll has testified in a cross-examination of her claims against former President Donald Trump that he raped her in the 1990s. Trump made a counter statement that it was unlikely he could have assaulted Carroll and she did not “scream.” Carroll argued that Trump raped her whether or not she screamed, The Washington Post reported.

Carroll was cross-examined by Trump lawyer Joe Tacopina on April 28, The Washington Post reported. Tacopina reportedly called Carroll’s story “unbelievable” and has sought to put the testimony into question. The U.S. Judge Lewis Kaplan, who is presiding over the case, reportedly claimed that the case would move “faster” if Tacopina would refrain from asking “argumentative” questions and dispense with repetition.

Carroll testified in a civil lawsuit against Trump for her allegations of rape and defamation, joining a list of 20 women who have accused Trump of assault crimes, Time Magazine reported. The trial is the result of a defamation lawsuit that Carroll filed against Trump in 2022 for denying her claims of rape. In Carroll’s view, Trump destroyed her reputation by calling her a liar. Trump claimed that he has never met Carroll.

Likewise, Trump claimed, in a post published to Truth social, that if he had assaulted Caroll as she claimed in a busy public place such as a Bergdorf Goodman retailer, it would have made “big press.” Carroll accused Trump of assaulting her in the dressing room of a Bergdorf Goodman high-end department store in the 1990s.

Trump faces a series of legal cases, including an indictment from the District Attorney of Manhattan Alvin Bragg, a lawsuit from the New York Attorney General Letitia James, and a federal inquiry into the events of January 6, 2021, as well as classified documents Trump had in his private residence at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, New York magazine reported.
