DOJ Searches Biden’s Beach Home as Classified Document Inquiry Continues

(RepublicanDaily.org) – The Department of Justice searched President Joe Biden’s Rehoboth, Delaware, beach home residence, on the morning of February 1, but no additional documents were found, The Guardian reported.

A personal attorney for the president, Bob Bauer, also issued public statements announcing that no additional documents were discovered at the residence.

President Biden consented to the search of his Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, vacation home as part of an ongoing inquiry into the president’s handling of classified documents. The president has been under intense political scrutiny following the media reports of classified documents from the Obama administration at the Penn Biden center. The documents were discovered at the Penn Biden Center in November 2022, but the discovery was not publicly disclosed until January.

Additional documents were found at President Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware residence.

Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed a special counsel to investigate Biden’s properties for any further classified documents following the public release.

The House Oversight Committee and the House Judiciary Committee have begun to conduct an inquiry into the Biden document scandal. The House expressed concerns over the Penn Biden Center location after the think tank received donations from Chinese Communist Party-linked donors.

Senator Ted Cruz called for an investigation of the Biden Senate records at the University of Delaware, as well as investigations of Hunter Biden’s home. Cruz said it appeared that Biden leaves classified documents “everywhere he goes” which he believed necessitated an investigation of all Biden record storage facilities.

Media has been critical of the Biden administration following the discovery. CNN Host Victor Blackwell directly challenged White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield, asking her why there was a “continued trickle” of disclosure surrounding the documents’ discovery if the first documents were discovered “in mid-November.” Bedingfield stated that the White House is committed to being “fully, fully transparent” during the investigation.
