Defense Department's Kash Patel Files $50 Million Lawsuit Against CNN

( – Many of us have grown so accustomed to the constant stream of false and misleading content from MSM outlets that it now comes across as background noise. It’s easy to forget how this type of reporting damages the reputations of the people it targets.

On Friday, December 11, Kash Patel, the chief of staff to acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller, filed a defamation lawsuit against CNN and several of its top reporters. He alleges the network discriminated against him, unfairly painting him as a “Trump loyalist… connected to…conspiracy theories about Joe Biden.” The quoted text is from one of a series of articles mentioned in the suit.

Patel is seeking $50 million in various types of damages. He’s also applied for an injunction that would prohibit CNN from repeating the offending messages.

Given that it’s the country’s third-biggest news network, you would expect CNN to display a certain basic degree of journalistic integrity. As Kash Patel is likely to illustrate through this case, they often fail to meet that standard.
