Dan Bongino Leaves Fox News Following Tucker Carlson Firing

(RepublicanDaily.org) – Talk show host Dan Bongino will also part ways with Fox News following the recent separation of Tucker Carlson, former host of the 8pm show hour from the network.

Former President Donald Trump reacted to the news of Bongino following Carlson off the network. In a Truth Social post, he questioned “what was going on” at Fox News. Trump likewise reacted to Carlson’s departure from the network, calling him “insightful,” “rating’s gold,” and that he “would be missed.”

After Carlson departed from the network, stock at Fox News started to tumble, The Hill reported.

Even though Carlson’s firing came directly following the determination of the Dominion Voting systems lawsuit, Carlson’s firing may not have come down to one simple “calculation,” CNN reported.

CNN analyzed why Fox News would fire its “highest-rated host.” Among the issues that were analyzed was an additional lawsuit against Fox News, which CNN analyzed, including the lawsuit filed by former producer Abby Grossberg, who alleged that the network was responsible for “rampant sexism” and “anti-Semitic” behavior. Another possible reason behind his firing, CNN mulled, were private statements Carlson made in connection to the Dominion documents discovery where Carlson “disparaged” his colleagues.

Dan Bongino cited “failed contract talks” as the reason for why he was departing the network, USA Today reported. Bongino reportedly claimed that he and the network “could not come to terms” over his contract.

Fox News’ rival, left-leaning network CNN, also parted ways with Don Lemon, on the same day that Carlson’s firing was announced. The CNN network stated that Lemon was released from his show for mistreating his coworkers, and for “making sexist comments.” Lemon’s firing followed comments he’d made about the former United States ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley.
