(RepublicanDaily.org) – Bill and Hillary Clinton are no strangers to controversy. Rumors of their involvement in nefarious activities abound, whether related to the Steele Dossier, Bill’s connection to Jeffrey Epstein, or any number of other issues. Might that be why people are becoming more reluctant to donate to their nonprofit organization?
The Clinton Foundation just released its annual report, revealing it’s making less money from donations than it has over the last many years. The organization took in $16.3 million in 2020, compared to $29.6 million in 2019 and $62.9 million in 2016 when Hillary ran for president.

In a letter about the Clinton Foundation’s financial health, CEO Kevin Thurm said the nonprofit managed to fund its own operations for last year using donation money. He blamed COVID-19 for the downturn in donations last year, saying stretched resources had made for a bad year in the world of philanthropy. Thurm added much of the work the foundation carried out last year was aimed at pandemic relief, addressing issues like opioid abuse and food insecurity.
Despite Thurm’s claims, speculation is rife about why the Clintons struggle to attract donations. Could the growing list of scandals allegedly surrounding them have anything to do with it?
