Child Abusers Caught Flooding Into America Through Biden's Broken Immigration System

( – It’s no secret that border policy has likely been the biggest of the Biden administration’s failures since it set about its work at the beginning of 2021. President Joe Biden tried to reverse as many of his predecessor’s immigration policies as possible upon entering the White House. The result was chaotic, to say the least.

Our border authorities have had to contend with unprecedented numbers of undocumented border crossers over the last year. It should come as no surprise that a percentage of these individuals come from highly concerning backgrounds.

CBP Agents Catch Convicted Child Sex Offenders at the Border

On Sunday, January 9, officers with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) arrested a 43-year-old Mexican citizen with an outstanding warrant for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. Erick Omar Lopez Cruz was a Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States, and was entering the country on a bus via the Laredo Port of Entry.

There were more arrests of this nature in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. CBP officers detained Edgar Antonio Barajas-Granados in Corpus Christi, Texas, after discovering he was a registered sex offender. Barajas-Granados (20) reportedly engaged in continuous sexual abuse against a child younger than 14, and had previously been removed from the United States. He received a sentence of 10 years of probation and 300 hours of community service.

That wasn’t all, though; CBP agents arrested several more foreign nationals with a history of criminal sexual misconduct near the border this week, as well.

When Will the Border Crisis End?

We’ve been seeing staggering statistics in relation to the border for months on end. According to the most recent figures, CBP agents encountered over 127,000 unique individuals on the border in November of last year, which represented a 10% increase over the previous month. There were also over 173,000 overall migrant encounters, which suggests that a large proportion of those who get turned away try their luck again.

Almost 14,000 unaccompanied children presented themselves at the border in November 2021. Unaccompanied children pose unique challenges, as the authorities cannot release them without an appropriate adult to take responsibility for them.

The Bottom Line

The most worrying thing about this story is the fact we’re not seeing all the details. Untold thousands of foreign nationals have entered the country across the southwest border since Joe Biden became the president, and a certain percentage of those individuals are undoubtedly dangerous criminals. Who knows what kind of damage they might be inflicting on American communities.
