(RepublicanDaily.org) – On the night of Thursday, October 22, we got to see the second and final election debate between President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden. Under the moderatorship of Kristen Welker, the two discussed the COVID-19 pandemic, support for marginalized communities, and climate change policy, among other topics.
However, a topic Welker did not delve into in detail gave us perhaps the most telling insight of the evening. During the segment on foreign election interference, Trump challenged Biden on his links to Ukraine. Rather than addressing the issue, the Democrat turned the conversation toward the president’s financial affairs. He also stated the election was not about “[Trump’s] family and [Biden’s] family” but about ordinary American families.
This isn’t about Donald Trump’s family or my family. This is about your family.

Rhetorical bluster aside, this cannot play well for Joe Biden. Despite the lackluster coverage of this story from the media, the American public is now well aware that the Biden family’s dealings in Ukraine were highly inappropriate. It appears the Democrat nominee may have passed up his best chance to explain the situation to voters honestly.
